OTTAWA, May 2, 2012 /CNW/ -The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, will host a media availability to share highlights from his trip to the International Transport Forum's 2012 Summit, Seamless Transport: Making Connections.

Minister Lebel's participation in this conference - the only international conference of its kind - includes:

• Bilateral meetings with China, Japan and the EU;
• Panel discussion on perimeter security and border efficiencies; and,
• Panel discussion on "seamless transport" at which Minister Lebel will share the success of Canada's Gateways and Corridors Strategy.
