SHEDIAC, NB, Aug. 28, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard will host the 22nd North Atlantic Fisheries Ministers' Conference in Shediac, New Brunswick from August 28 to 30, 2017.
Canada will welcome Ministers and senior representatives from the European Union, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and the Russian Federation to Shediac to discuss the role of sustainable fisheries in marine conservation as well as current fisheries management challenges, such as illegal fishing, catch documentation, and marine mammal interactions.
A press conference will be held at the conclusion of the conference where media are invited to attend. A teleconference option is also available.
