Media advisory - Minister McKenna holds meetings to discuss the proposed national park reserve in the South Okanagan - Similkameen Area Français
PENTICTON, BC, Aug. 17, 2018 /CNW/ - Media representatives are advised that the Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, Catherine McKenna, is visiting the South Okanagan area to discuss the proposed national park reserve in the South Okanagan – Similkameen area.
Minister McKenna will be meeting with stakeholders with an interest in the national park reserve as well as Chiefs of the local First Nations who are partners in the proposed national park reserve.
Protecting Canada's iconic natural and cultural landscapes ensures this important heritage can be shared with Canadians and visitors from around the world for generations to come.
A media availability will follow Minister McKenna's meeting with stakeholders.
