Media Advisory - Minister McKenna makes Lake Winnipeg announcement and attends Winnipeg-area events Français
GIMLI, MB, Aug. 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Media representatives are advised that the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, will announce new Government of Canada funding for projects that improve water quality in the Lake Winnipeg Basin. The Minister will be joined by the Member of Parliament for Winnipeg South, Terry Duguid, and local partners involved in efforts to protect Lake Winnipeg's water quality.
The Minister will also visit the City of Selkirk and meet with a representative from the Prairie Climate Centre to learn more about how cities and communities are adapting to climate change.
