Media Advisory - Minister McKenna to attend Asamblea del Océano Pacífico and World Ocean Summit 2018, in Mexico Français
PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico, March 6, 2018 /CNW/ - The Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada, Catherine McKenna, will hold a media availability by teleconference to discuss her visit to Mexico, where she will attend the Asamblea del Océano Pacífico, the World Ocean Summit 2018, and various bilateral meetings with stakeholders. Minister McKenna will highlight Canada's priorities under the G7 presidency to reduce ocean plastics and marine litter and address the impacts of climate change on coastal communities.
As March 8 is International Women's Day, Minister McKenna will also take the opportunity during the teleconference to make an announcement related to bringing women leaders together in the fight against climate change.
