Media Advisory - Minister of Education Addresses the Priorities of Ontario's Catholic School Boards at May 3 Event
TORONTO, May 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Minister of Education, Liz Sandals will address trustees and directors of education from all of Ontario's Catholic school boards this Friday, May 3rd, 11:15 a.m. at the Doubletree by Hilton - Toronto Airport (655 Dixon Rd.). This much anticipated address is part of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association's (OCSTA) Annual General Meeting.
OCSTA invited the Minister to discuss the contributions and priorities of Ontario's publicly funded Catholic schools and the education mandate of the Wynne government. Over 200 Catholic school board trustees and directors of education will be in attendance at this event.
The Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association (OCSTA) was established in 1930 as the official voice for Catholic education in the province. Today, the Association represents 29 English Catholic school boards and five school authorities that collectively educate 600,000 students in Ontario from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.
