Media Advisory - Minister of Health and Long Term Care to Address Opening of
Joint Long Term Care and Retirement Homes Convention
MARKHAM, ON, April 23 /CNW/ - The Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) is pleased to announce the opening of Together We Care Convention and Trade Show, jointly organized by OLTCA and the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA). The convention will take place on Sunday, April 25th until Tuesday, April 27th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on the lower level. The event, attended by more than 2,000 delegates, is Canada's largest long term care and retirement community convention and tradeshow.
The Honourable Deb Matthews, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, will address delegates at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26th and reinforce the Ontario government's commitment to resident care.
A host of key-note speakers will address the convention including, the Honourable Gerry Phillips, Minister Responsible for Seniors, Diane McArthur, the Assistant Deputy Minister of Ontario Seniors' Secretariat, and Olympic and humanitarian champion Mark Tewksbury.

- A series of presentations on Disney's approach to business excellence (Tuesday, April 27) - Special recognition luncheon and presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award and Quality Improvement Award (Monday, April 26)
