QUÉBEC CITY, Aug. 18 /CNW/ - The Honourable Jane Philpott, Minister of Health, and Joël Lightbound, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health, will be visiting the Centre hospitalier universitaire (CHU) de Québec – Université Laval Research Centre to announce funding in research projects aimed at improving the health of people with HIV/AIDS, and to highlight investments in research on conditions such as heart disease, asthma and cancer.
A lab tour will take place following this announcement in the Infectious Disease Research Center, which is dedicated to the study of infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections.
Media are invited to speak with the Minister, Parliamentary Secretary, researchers, participate in the lab tour, and take photos and video.
