Media Advisory - MINISTERS OF EDUCATION TO MEET IN WINNIPEG, SEPTEMBER 23-24,

TORONTO, Sept. 20 /CNW/ - Canada's ministers of education will be in Winnipeg September 23-24, for the 98th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC), their longstanding intergovernmental body.
Hosted by the current Chair of CMEC, the Honourable Diane McGifford, CMEC 98 will bring ministers together to discuss a number of priority education issues of importance to all Canadians.
Of particular interest to media:
- In CMEC's role as Canada's voice for education on the international stage, ministers will be meeting with senior educational officials from People's Republic of China (PRC) to share information on a variety of education initiatives and set the stage for future collaboration and engagement.

Media Interview Room
An interview room will be located in the Provencher alcove, Lobby Level, and will be made available to members of the media for individual interviews with ministers of education. The room will be equipped with microphones and a media feed box.
Media Work room
A media work room will be located in Salon D, 2nd floor, of the Fort Gary Hotel. It will be available from September 23 to 24, and will be equipped with Internet access and power outlets.
