VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, July 8, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to be present when one of the last groups of Canadian soldiers returns home from Afghanistan. The group of about 90 soldiers will include Colonel Roch Pelletier, Deputy Commander for Rotation 2 of Operation ATTENTION.

Colonel Pelletier will give a press conference summarizing the past eight months of the Canadian Contribution Training Mission - Afghanistan (CCTM-A). Journalists will also be able to talk to the families before the soldiers arrive, and to the soldiers themselves after they clear Customs.
In accordance with airport regulations, the media will not be allowed in secured areas or on the tarmac.

Note: No telephone interviews will be given during the event. Also, during their post-deployment leave, the soldiers will not be able to grant interviews. Requests for interviews will be considered after they have returned to work in September 2013. This approach will enable our soldiers to make the most of a well-deserved rest and spend as much time as possible with their loved ones.
