Media Advisory - Montreal's best freestyle soccer players compete for a kick
at Red Bull Street Style National Final

MONTREAL , Oct. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - It's as easy as 3-2-1: three minutes, two players, and one ball form the battleground. Ball control, style and skill crown the king. Come watch as Montreal's best freestyler soccer players face-off on a special stage, seven metres in diameter, and alternate ball possession every 30 seconds while displaying their most awe-inspiring ball tricks to the rhythm of music. The goal is to impress the judges, beat their rivals and earn a spot in the Red Bull Street Style National Final.

Following the runaway success of 2008 culminating in the first ever World Finals in Sao Paulo , Brazil , Red Bull Street Style returns for 2009/10 to keep the world freestyle soccer elite on their toes and the tricks fresh. On October 25, 2009 head over to McGill University Sports Center, 475 Pine Ave. West and prove your fleet footwork deserves a world stage. Athlete registration starts at 1:00PM and the competition will begin at 2:00PM .

Through a series of regional qualifiers in Toronto , Vancouver , and Montreal , and a national final on November 15, 2009 in Toronto , Red Bull Street Style is searching for Canada's top freestyler to represent at the world finals in South Africa . Last year, José Pena of Toronto took the Canadian championship title and headed to San Paolo to showcase his smooth style.
