VANCOUVER, Jan. 15, 2015 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) will host its 18th annual Whistler Institutional Investor Conference January 21 - 24, 2015.
Scheduled to present are senior executives from more than 100 prominent North American companies spanning several key industry sectors including chemicals, fertilizers, energy, renewable energy, mining, pulp & paper and other forest products, pipelines, utilities, infrastructure, telecommunications, financial services, transportation, and technology.
Presenters will engage in intimate fireside chats to discuss their business and growth strategies, as well as share their thoughts on the future directions of their sectors through panel discussions.
The keynote luncheon speaker on January 21 is Avery Shenfeld, Managing Director and Chief Economist, CIBC World Markets Inc. Mr. Shenfeld will focus on where Canada and its financial markets will land in a world in which the U.S. economy has solid fundamentals, but other major industrialized economies, and the commodities they purchase, enter the year in a more troubled state.
