Media Advisory - Munsee-Delaware Nation Receives Almost $600,000 to Complete
Small Business/Community Centre
MUNCEY, ON,
Construction of the small business/community centre began in 1998 but the project was put on hold due to funding restraints. However, with the new funding commitments, the Nation will now complete the centre; one that will create economic opportunities and enhance the quality of life of the First Nations members. The facility is expected to be complete by summer 2010.
"The completion of the facility will be the result of the hard work and perseverance of many people over the years. It is a great example of how the First Nation must work in a partnership environment with government and the private sector. The opportunity is now available to finish an important community facility that will enable local entrepreneurs to pursue their goals."
