Media Advisory - Muralist Touring Toronto and Creating Art Live in Support of Subway® World Sandwich Day
TORONTO, Oct. 30, 2017 /CNW/ - In celebration of World Sandwich Day, Subway® Canada has commissioned local artist Andrea Manica to develop a mural representing the sandwich chain's partnership with Food Banks Canada and to help educate on hunger in Canada.
Andrea will travel the streets of Toronto in a custom-fitted art-truck on Nov. 1 and 2 to help raise awareness of the upcoming in-restaurant donation campaign, which will provide a free sandwich as well as a meal to Food Banks Canada for every sandwich purchased with a 21oz. drink on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017.
Subway® restaurants in over 60 countries around the globe will be participating in World Sandwich Day and will be hosting similar campaigns to collect donations for local hunger-relief charities in their country, reinforcing the sandwich chain's belief that no one should ever go hungry.
