Media Advisory - NAN leadership to gather for Winter Chiefs Assembly
THUNDER BAY, ON, March 29 /CNW/ - Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) Grand Chief Stan Beardy together with NAN Executive Council members and leadership from NAN First Nation communities will gather this week for the annual NAN Winter Chiefs Assembly. Media are welcome to attend the opening remarks on Tuesday March 29, 2010.

During this three-day event, NAN leadership will gather to discuss key issues effecting NAN communities. Break-out sessions will provide those involved with the opportunity to discuss immediate and long-term priorities, the importance of unity, how to work more closely together as First Nations and where leadership sees NAN and NAN First Nations in five, ten and twenty years from now. NAN leadership will also receive program and project updates from program coordinators to help NAN Chiefs with further direction.
