The press conference will kick off a full day of lobbying by the PSAC's National Aboriginal Peoples' Circle. These PSAC members have come from across the country to tell Parliament that the labour movement supports Aboriginal Peoples in their struggle for justice.
"The federal government rightfully apologized to the survivors of Residential Schools 16 months ago but since then, what have they done to improve the social condition of Canada's First Peoples?" asked Gordon. "By nearly every measure, Aboriginal Peoples are the most marginalized in the country. When will this government take action?
