Media Advisory - New Canadian Cancer Statistics report to be released

CALGARY, May 3, 2012 /CNW/ -

What:	The 2012 cancer statistics report, Canadian Cancer Statistics, will be released by the Canadian Cancer Society.
	The Canadian Cancer Society, in partnership with the Public Health Agency of Canada, Statistics Canada, provincial and territorial cancer registries, as well as researchers based in universities and provincial/territorial cancer agencies, produces Canadian Cancer Statistics once a year.
When:	Wednesday, May 9, 2012. The embargo will be lifted at 5:01 a.m. MDT.
Who:	Local spokespeople and other experts in Alberta will be available for interviews, as requested.
	A news release will be issued via CNW on Wednesday, May 9. The release - along with an electronic media kit - will be posted on the Canadian Cancer Society's website at cancer.ca.
