Media Advisory - NEW RCMP BOAT IN REGION
HAMILTON, ON, Aug. 27 /CNW/ - The RCMP is mandated, among other things, to enforce Canadian laws as well as combat organized crime and terrorist activity in Canada. For this purpose, an integrated governmental approach has been adopted that emphasizes collaboration among federal, provincial and municipal resources to provide a secure environment for Canadians.
The RCMP is responsible, among other things, for ensuring the security of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway.
To advance this mandate, the RCMP Niagara Hamilton Regional Detachment and the Hamilton Police Service will have on display and deploy their new Zodiac Hurricane first response and rescue vessel next week that will service the Hamilton Harbour and Burlington Bay.
