Media Advisory - News Conference - Joint police investigation uncovers large cache of methamphetamine, drug labs and pre-cursor chemicals in Ontario Français
ORILLIA, ON, Sept. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to join members of the Asian Organized Crime Task Force (AOCTF) at a news conference tomorrow to outline results of a lengthy investigation involving Ontario's largest ever seizure of methamphetamine, meth production labs, equipment and chemicals.
The AOCTF is a joint forces operation comprised of members of the Toronto Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), York Regional Police, Peel Regional Police, and the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA). All will be represented at the media conference, along with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and OPP Drug Enforcement Unit.
One-on-one interviews will be available following the media conference. Evidence from clandestine drug lab operations, products and equipment seized during the investigation will be on display along with investigative support equipment. Video b-roll, digital stills, and background information will be made available for media agencies unable to attend once the media conference begins.
