Media Advisory - News Conference - Photo & Interview Opportunities - OPP Commissioner Lewis & OFSC to kick off Snowmobile Safety Week Français
ORILLIA, ON, Jan. 16, 2014 /CNW/ - Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Commissioner Chris Lewis is teaming up with the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) to kick off Snowmobile Safety Week which runs from January 18 to 26, 2014.
Commissioner Lewis is inviting media to hear his important message about the high number of snowmobile deaths that have occurred so far this season as well as a personal story by an OFSC member who almost lost his life in a snowmobile incident.
Members of the Highway Safety Division, the S.T.O.P. (Snowmobile Trail Officer Patrol) Program, and the Provincial S.A.V.E. (Snowmobile ATV & Vessel Enforcement) Unit will also be in attendance and available for interviews.
Interviews will be conducted following the event. Refreshments will be available.
