OTTAWA, Jan. 27, 2014 /CNW/ - Veterans will join PSAC at a news conference on Tuesday to ask the government one last time to reconsider its decision to close Veterans Affairs district offices in nine communities. The Prince George office closed in January 2013 and the government says it will shut down the other eight this Friday, January 31.
Veterans from seven of the nine communities affected will be at the news conference Tuesday along with a PSAC member and front line Veterans Affairs worker, PSAC National Executive Vice-President Chris Aylward and Union of Veterans Affairs Employees National President Yvan Thauvette.
