Media advisory - Noted Economist Peter Hall to present Global Export Forecast in Vancouver on Thursday May 16th

OTTAWA, May 15, 2013 /CNW/ - Noted Economist Peter Hall, Chief Economist for Export Development Canada (EDC), will be in Vancouver to deliver EDC's 2013 forecast for the Global and British-Columbia economies on Thursday, May 16 at 11:30 AM.

Members of the media are invited to attend the lunchtime presentation in person.

The theme of this forecast is "Gearing up for growth." Mr. Hall will discuss global economic and trade trends, including a regional and industrial outlook to help Canadian companies identify foreign market opportunities and risks.

Of note in this forecast will be the impact of a burgeoning U.S. recovery upon Canadian and world markets, the forecasted drag of the European economies, and emerging market outlooks.
