Media Advisory - Nova Scotia Grants Six Wishes In One Month
HALIFAX, Jan. 30, 2015 /CNW/ - The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Chapter, is granting six wishes for the month of February. Each wish is as unique as each wish child. Children's Wish is excited to be granting six wishes in one month.
On February 1st, eight-year-old Ainslee from Halifax will be travelling to Disney World to go on all of the rides and visit LEGOLAND. He was diagnosed with Severe Systemic Juvenile Arthritis.
On February 2nd, seven-year-old Makenzie from Port Hawkesbury will be leaving for her wish to Disney World. She has a special meet and greet planned with Tinkerbelle and will be celebrating her eighth birthday on her wish. Makenzie was diagnosed with Osteopetrosis and has had a bone marrow transplant.
On February 9th, eight-year-old Emily from Yarmouth will be travelling to Disney World for her wish. Emily was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Emily has been an honourary princess at The Children's Wish Princess Tea Party in Yarmouth.
On February 12th, Madeline from Antigonish will be leaving for her wish just in time to beat the cold weather on a Western Caribbean Cruise. Madeline was diagnosed with a condition that can lead to kidney failure, along with many other complications.
On February 16th, four-year-old Charli from Halifax will be leaving for her wish to swim with dolphins and see Sesame Street characters in Jamaica. Charli was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was two-years-old.
On February 27th, five-year-old Gregor from Fall River will be leaving for his wish to Turks and Caicos to swim with dolphins. Gregor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of 3 - 17 are diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Since 1984, The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada has worked tirelessly to grant exceptional wishes to over 21,000 children and their families.
