Media Advisory - NSTU to hold rally at Province House

HALIFAX , Oct. 15 /CNW/ - The Nova Scotia Teachers Union is holding a rally at Province House in support of Community College faculty and professional support staff today starting at 5:30 p.m.

The 930 Community College members have been without an agreement since August 31, 2008 . They are set to walk off the job on Tuesday. The NSTU has sought binding arbitration to settle the outstanding contract issues to avert a strike.

Members of the NSTU's provincial executive, meeting in Halifax today, will also be in attendance at the Nova Scotia legislature during today's meeting of the House.
