Media Advisory - Official launch of the CBAO Seniors Day Program
TORONTO, Nov. 1, 2016 /CNW/ - As a result of age, cultural and linguistic barriers, immigrant seniors are among the most disadvantaged and underserviced populations in the Greater Toronto Area. With a growing number of elderly in the region, the CBAO Seniors Day Program is unique in its mandate to support Italian-speaking seniors who have been diagnosed with early-stage dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease as well as their families and care partners. The unique rehabilitation program aims to moderate the decline associated with dementia through stimulating physical and mental exercises as well as socialization, all of which have been identified as beneficial to brain health.
