TORONTO, April 18, 2017 /CNW/ - PortsToronto is pleased to announce that the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport will join in the official opening of the new Ground Run-up Enclosure (GRE) at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport on Wednesday, April 19.
To celebrate the opening of the GRE (a three-sided, open-top facility that will accommodate commercial aircraft at the airport and is designed to dampen the noise associated with high-power aircraft engine ground run-up operations), a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a tour of the facility and a demonstration will take place at 1:30 p.m. Details are as follows:
