Media Advisory - OHRC launches new Policy to protect the human rights of trans people in Ontario Français
TORONTO, April 11, 2014 /CNW/ - On Monday, April 14, 2014, the Ontario Human Rights Commission will be releasing its new Policy on preventing discrimination because of gender identity and gender expression.
Trans people are one of the most disadvantaged groups in society. They often experience prejudice, discrimination, harassment, hatred and even violence. This new Policy looks at how to remove barriers, eliminate discrimination and help protect the rights of trans individuals and people of diverse genders.
