Media Advisory - Olympian Clara Hughes in town to help launch Mitsubishi's
2010 Right To Play Challenge
TORONTO, March 19 /CNW/ - One of Canada's most decorated Olympic athletes and Right To Play Athlete Ambassador, Clara Hughes, will be available in Toronto on Tuesday, March 23 for media interviews to discuss her Olympic experience, her involvement with Right To Play and the upcoming 2010 Right To Play Challenge, sponsored by Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, Inc. (MMSCAN). The Right To Play Challenge will see Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada donate $100 from every vehicle sold in Canada throughout April, May and June directly to Right To Play.
At the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino following her gold medal performance, Ms. Hughes donated $10,000 of her own money to Right To Play. The Canadian-based international humanitarian organization uses sport and play programs to improve health, build life skills and foster peace for children and communities around the world affected by war, poverty and disease. Over the past two years, MMSCAN's Right to Play Challenge has raised almost $1 million for Right To Play, and the 2010 goal is to raise an additional $500,000.
