Media Advisory - Olympic Champion Donovan Bailey joins annual fundraising gala for the NEW Humber River Hospital
TORONTO, May 5, 2015 /CNW/ - The River Ball: Impressions by the River in support of the new Humber River Hospital, has just announced Olympic champion Donovan Bailey as special guest for the annual event on May 7, 2015.
Mr. Bailey will attend the event and share his personal experience as a grateful patient at Toronto's Humber River Hospital – one of the largest acute care hospitals in the city and soon to be home to North America's first fully digital hospital.
The River Ball supports the campaign to raise $225M to build and equip the NEW Humber River Hospital, opening on October 18, 2015.
Guests will also enjoy a performance by comedian and impressionist André-Philippe Gagnon. In his 28 year career, Gagnon has wowed crowds with his impressions across Canada, the United States and Europe, performing alongside musical greats such as Lionel Richie and Celine Dion.
Long-time Hospital and Foundation friends, donors and extraordinary volunteers, Jack and Pat Kay, will be the 2015 recipients of the No Limits Award – created by Humber River to symbolize a future with no limits!
