nurses celebrating Nursing Week 2010
ALMONTE, ON, May 11 /CNW/ - Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) 1st Vice-President Vicki McKenna, RN will deliver remarks on professional nursing workload issues in Almonte tomorrow as she joins ONA members for a Nursing Week event.

ONA's theme for Nursing Week 2010 is "Celebrate our Nurses: The Heart of Health Care" and site visits to nurses are intended to help them celebrate. There have been numerous RN position cuts across the province in recent months and ONA launched a public ad campaign this week to fight those cuts. But despite those cuts, this is a week to celebrate the skills and professionalism our nurses bring to health care. McKenna will be in Almonte from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and will be available to speak to local media prior to or following the event.
