Media Advisory - ONA President to Join Striking CCAC Health Professionals on the Picket Lines in Windsor, Chatham Today
WINDSOR, ON, Feb. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - The President of the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) is joining striking health professionals on the picket lines in Windsor and Chatham this morning.
Linda Haslam-Stroud, RN will walk with the care coordinators and health professionals at the Erie St. Clair CCAC office from 8 am to 9;30, then at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance from 11:00 am. She is available for media interviews.
The Erie St. Clair CCAC workers have been on strike since January 30.
ONA is the union representing 60,000 nurse practitioners, registered nurses and allied health professionals, as well as more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, clinics and industry.
