MEDIA ADVISORY - ONE LAPTOP PER CHILD CANADA TO BENEFIT ABORIGINAL YOUTH
OTTAWA, Sept. 23 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, September 29th, The Belinda Stronach Foundation (TBSF) and partners will launch One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) Canada. With the support of its partners which include: Vale, BMO Financial Group, the Government of Ontario, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), ParticipACTION, Safe Kids Canada, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Ekomini, TBSF will unveil a new version of the XO laptop, including a suite of programs designed to provide Aboriginal youth in Canada with access to versatile technology and customized, culturally relevant programs to improve their education.
