Water Environment Association of Ontario 41st Annual WEAO Technical Symposium and OPCEA Exhibition
TORONTO, April 9, 2012 /CNW/ - April 22-24, 2012 - The Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) and the Ontario Pollution Control Equipment Association (OPCEA) are pleased to host the 41st Annual Technical Symposium and Exhibition.
The Water Environment Association of Ontario is the pre-eminent association of wastewater professionals in Ontario, focusing on the protection of Ontario's water through design and implementation of wastewater management strategies. These strategies include working with government and other stakeholders to ensure sound science and innovative technology are the basis of the legislation; encouraging younger generations to enter careers in managing sewage and storm water; and keeping system operators abreast of the newest technologies and training to facilitate wastewater operations for safe and healthy Ontario waters. The Ontario Pollution Control Equipment Association provides the equipment and services required for highly efficient wastewater systems.
WHO: Keynote speaker, Jim Gehrels Co-founder of Lifewater Canada; Chris Browning the WEF 2011-2012 Treasurer; representatives from academia, consulting engineering firms, provincial and federal government, municipalities, and conservation authorities.
