Media Advisory - Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs holds Memorial Service Sunday May 3, 2015 7:00pm
TORONTO, May 3, 2015 /CNW/ - The Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs (OAFC) will hold their annual Memorial Service honouring the Chief Officers who have passed away in the last year.
This is one of the premier events held by the OAFC each year. This year, 20 Chief Officers who have passed away since this time last year will be honoured. This includes 2 active OAFC Board Members – Vice-President Mark Diotte (Fire Chief – Ajax) and Director Mark Mehlenbacher (Fire Chief – St. Catharines), both of which died of cancer in 2014.
Memorial helmets will be laid for each fallen member, in addition to remembering all fallen Fire Chief and all fallen Fire fighters.
