Media Advisory - Ontario Business Leaders to be EXILED
Exile Island Toronto to raise funds for Children's Wish
AJAX, ON, May 1, 2012 /CNW/ - On Friday, May 4, 2012 executives from some of the GTA's most prominent corporations will become castaways and be exiled to historic Fort York for Toronto's 2nd annual Exile Island (www.exileisland.ca). The one-of-a-kind corporate challenge will raise funds for The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
The action-packed event will feature 10 rival tribes competing in a variety of challenging mental and physical contests to collect the most money in donations and pledges by calling friends, family and colleagues. Each tribe is paired with local wish children who have yet to be granted their most heartfelt wish from Children's Wish.
Last year's Toronto Exile Island event raised over $125,000, enabling numerous children living with a life threatening illness the opportunity to receive their most heartfelt wish. The objective of this year's Exile Island event is to surpass last year's success and grant even more wishes.

The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada
Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of three and 17 are diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Since 1984, The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada has worked tirelessly to grant exceptional wishes to 18,000 children and their families.
This year, the Foundation expects to grant over 1,000 new wishes and is proud to have never refused a wish to an eligible child, and with the help of volunteers and generous donors, is able to grant nearly three wishes every day. Each wish is an individual adventure, carefully structured to meet the needs of a particular child and family. The Foundation is a national charity with chapters in every province and territory.
