Media Advisory - Ontario Education Minister, Hon. Liz Sandals, to launch online community for teachers
TORONTO, March 22, 2016 /CNW/ - Ontario Education Minister Hon. Liz Sandals will publicly launch TVO's award-winning online platform, TeachOntario, on March 31, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic School in Oakville.
TeachOntario is an online community created to support sharing, collaboration, and knowledge exchange amongst educators across Ontario.
The platform was developed by TVO, in partnership with the Ontario Teachers' Federation, its Affiliates and the Ministry of Education, and in consultation with teachers from a variety of districts across the province.

Photo op – Minister Sandals will participate as two elementary classes, one in Oakville, the other in Chatham, use Google Hangouts to connect virtually to solve a math problem together. |
Their teachers met online through TeachOntario and are using technology to support collaborative teaching practices to improve student outcomes. |
