TORONTO, Feb. 23, 2017 /CNW/ - The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) is bringing the rate decision-making process to Essex. The province's energy regulator has received a rate application from E.L.K. Energy Inc. to increase its electricity distribution rates by $3.50 per month. This application may impact customer bills for the next 5 years, starting May 1, 2017. The OEB is holding a community meeting to help consumers:
- Learn more about E.L.K. Energy's costs and rate application;
- Find out how to get involved in the OEB's distribution rate-setting process; and
- Provide comments to the OEB about E.L.K. Energy Inc.'s application.
