In partnership with the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen's University and the Museum of Health Care at Kingston, the Trust will celebrate Heritage Week 2016 with a day of engaging behind-the-scenes tours, talks, activities, demonstrations and historical displays. The event will open with remarks at 1 p.m. followed by tours of Faculty of Health Sciences facilities and the Museum of Health Care at Kingston, as well as a Heritage Expo and reception.
Heritage Week – which runs from February 15 to 21 – is an annual celebration of Ontario's rich history and provides an opportunity to recognize the important work of heritage organizations and volunteers across the province. This year, the Trust is showcasing Ontario's remarkable contributions in medical science and innovation. Many communities across Ontario will be hosting their own special Heritage Week events and activities, including exhibits, lectures, workshops and tours.
