Media Advisory - Ontario Nurses' Association Members Join Sarnia Labour Day Parade
SARNIA, ON, Sept. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) members and their families along with ONA Vice-President Karen Bertrand, RN will join in the 2013 Sarnia and District Labour Council Labour Day Parade tomorrow.
ONA members from Local 19 - comprised of registered nurses and allied health professionals working in all sectors of health care - will participate. This year's theme is "Together Fairness Works."
ONA members from Port Elgin, Windsor, Toronto, Barrie and other locations will also be taking part in their local events.
The Sarnia parade begins at 9:30 am on Monday, September 2 at the corner of Wellington Street and Christina Street. Bertrand is available for comment to the media.
ONA is the union representing 60,000 registered nurses and allied health professionals as well as more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates. ONA members provide care in Ontario hospitals, long-term care, community care, public health, industry and clinics.
