Linda Haslam-Stroud marks Nursing Week with local RNs
SUDBURY, ON, May 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) President Linda Haslam-Stroud, RN, will visit ONA members in Sudbury Thursday as part of National Nursing Week celebrations.
Haslam-Stroud will visit ONA members working at Health Sciences North throughout the day to focus on celebrating the skilled care that the nurses provide. She is available by phone for media interviews.
Among the issues facing registered nurses in Ontario are ongoing cuts that have totaled 1,440 in just 17 months.
ONA is the union representing 60,000 registered nurses and allied health professionals, as well as more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates, providing care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, clinics and industry.
