Media Advisory - Ontario Nurses Urge Ontarians to Vote for Care, Not Cuts: ONA President available for election comment
TORONTO, June 12, 2014 /CNW/ - The Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) reminds Ontarians to exercise their democratic right to vote in today's provincial election. ONA President Linda Haslam-Stroud, RN, is available for comment on election day and on Friday, June 13.
ONA ran a province-wide campaign that urged voters to be informed about the PC's platform and make an informed decision when casting their ballots.
ONA President Linda Haslam-Stroud, RN, says that, "If Ontarians care about their health care, they will take a hard look at the policies of each of the parties, particularly a Tim Hudak-led PC party."
ONA is the union representing 60,000 front-line registered nurses and allied health professionals as well as more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in Ontario hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, industry and clinics.
