Media Advisory - Ontario universities launch report on experiential learning Wednesday, March 26
TORONTO, March 21, 2014 /CNW/ - Ontario's universities are equipping the next generation of leaders with the skills required for career success by providing students with real-life work experience. Statistics Canada's National Graduates Survey shows bachelor's level graduates with co-op experience earn more than peers, have higher full-time employment rates and are more likely to have paid off their debt within two years. Ontario's universities are providing this experience through co-ops, internships, placements and community service placements across all disciplines. Applied learning is one of the fastest-growing areas for universities in Ontario.
Find out more at the launch of Bringing Life to Learning at Ontario Universities, a Council of Ontario Universities (COU) report, and hear from students and industry and government leaders on why experiential learning plays such a key role in the success of students and the economy.
