Call on Premier and Minister of Health to stop massive healthcare funding cuts
TORONTO, May 14 /CNW/ - Ontario's Community Pharmacies Student Team will be mobilizing to speak to Liberal party members, MPPs and the public in Collingwood on May 15, 2010. They will call on the Premier, Minister Matthews, and all MPPs, to imagine the future of Ontario with significantly reduced pharmacy services - the net effect of incoming regulations if they don't come back to the negotiating table and work with pharmacy to develop a solution to preserve front-line community healthcare.
Additionally, students will be canvassing the city of Collingwood, speaking with residents about the future of community pharmacy and distributing education materials.
Pharmacy students are next in line to become our front-line health care providers. These students stand united with pharmacists across the province and are on a mission to educate residents of Collingwood about the negative impact of the government's draconian healthcare funding cuts.
