Media Advisory - OPP Symposium Welcomes Donna French
Guest Speaker to Share Experiences at Violent Crime Linkage Presentation
ORILLIA, ON, April 28 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to attend a presentation by Mrs. Donna French during a Violent Crime Linkage Analysis System (ViCLAS) symposium at Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) General Headquarters in Orillia on Thursday, April 29, 2010.
Following her presentation, Mrs. French, Chief Superintendent Kate Lines, Bureau Commander of the Investigation & Support Bureau, and OPP Staff Sergeant Lesley Rice, Manager of the Ontario ViCLAS Centre, will be available for media interviews in the Auditorium.
Mrs. French's presentation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with media interviews scheduled to occur at the conclusion of her presentation at approximately 10:30 a.m.
ViCLAS is an international program that provides investigative tools designed to assist police agencies with identifying offenders committing violent crimes that may be serial in nature. The Provincial ViCLAS Centre for Ontario is managed by the OPP at OPP General Headquarters in Orillia.
The two-day symposium is attracting law enforcement personnel from across Canada who coordinate ViCLAS activities in their respective jurisdictions.
Members of the media who will be attending this presentation will be greeted at the main entrance of OPP General Headquarters, 777 Memorial Avenue, in Orillia, Ontario, and escorted to the Auditorium for the presentation.
