OWEN SOUND, ON, July 10, 2018 /CNW/ - OPSEU First Vice-President / Treasurer Eduardo (Eddy) Almeida will lead a noon-hour rally in Owen Sound on Wednesday, July 11 in support of the OPSEU Local 276 members on strike at the Family Health Organization.

"I'm shocked by the verbal abuse and baseless accusations that are being hurled at these community health workers by the doctors and managers at the Family Health Organization," said Almeida. "And now the doctors have hired high-priced Toronto lawyers to try to intimidate our members.
"I've got news for them: we won't be intimidated. And we won't back down until we've got a deal that ensures these workers are paid a decent wage for the important work they do keeping Owen Sound healthy."
