Media Advisory - OPSEU President to join rally at new Community and Social Services Minister's office to demand an overhaul of the Developmental Services System
TORONTO, March 1, 2018 /CNW/ - OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas will join workers and activists from across Ontario during a rally tomorrow to demand that Michael Coteau, the new Minister of Community and Social Services overhaul the developmental services system.

The workers and activists will be calling on the new minister to increase base funding to developmental services agencies, set central labour standards, invest $55 million to cover changes to employment standards, increase full-time jobs, and regulate the direct funding program.
