Media Advisory - Osler Celebrates Milestone Anniversary Week from October 29 - November 3

BRAMPTON/ETOBICOKE, ON, Oct. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - To commemorate Etobicoke General Hospital's(EGH) 40 years, Brampton Civic Hospital's (BCH) 5 years, and Peel Memorial Hospital's 82-year legacy of caring, an Osler-wide celebration is planned for the week of October 29 - November 3 recognizing, "Safe and Compassionate Care…Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow".

Part of the week-long festivities will include the unveiling of an Osler Anniversary Mosaic at both EGH and BCH. The mosaics, themed, I ♥ MY Hospital, are made up of messages from people in the community and across the hospital sharing congratulations, an expression of thanks based on an experience in an Osler hospital, or commemorating a loved one who was born at or cared for in one of the hospitals.

Multi-faith sunrise ceremonies at EGH and BCH, a sold-out benefit concert, and an event featuring the unveiling of time capsule items and a government announcement at the Peel Memorial site will round out the week's activities.
