NEW AIYANSH, BC, May 7 /CNW/ - A celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Nisga'a Final Agreement will take place on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. The Nisga'a Nation President, H. Mitchell Stevens, will be joined by representatives from Canada, the Province of British Columbia (parties to the Nisga'a treaty) and the BC Treaty Commission.
The Nisga'a Nation invites you to stay for the day's celebrations, which will include video presentations and performances by the Nisga'a Mass Band, the Mass Nisga'a Cultural Dancers, the "Treaty Babies" and the Nisga'a Elementary Secondary School choir and band. A stand-up lunch and evening dinner buffet will be prepared by renowned Nisga'a culinary artists.
Date: Tuesday, May 11, 2010 Time: 12:00 p.m. (News conference at 3:30 p.m.) Location: Nisga'a Lisims Government Grounds and New Aiyansh Recreation Centre, New Aiyansh, BC Travelling from Terrace: Travel west on Highway 16 towards Prince Rupert.
