TORONTO, Nov. 28, 2013 /CNW/ - On December 2, the 32nd day of its 32 Reasons to Invest campaign, CivicAction will report to politicians on what residents and businesses will get if we invest in better transportation, and what we need to see from political leaders now.
Over the past month, business and civic leaders representing thousands of residents from Oshawa to Newmarket to Hamilton and everywhere between, have highlighted 32 different reasons why we deserve better transportation, and why we are ready to see dedicated, accountable funding for an integrated regional transportation system.
With the Transit Investment Strategy Advisory Panel expected to report back to government in December, and an upcoming Spring 2014 budget, the time for action is now. CivicAction is showing elected officials that better transportation is important to residents and worth the investment.
