TORONTO, Feb. 27, 2014 /CNW/ - A one-day meeting of Canada's federal, provincial and territorial parks ministers will take place on February 28, 2014, where ministers will discuss ways to better connect Canadians with nature.
The meeting will be co-chaired by the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Canada's Environment Minister and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, and the Honourable Dr. Richard Starke, Alberta's Minister of Tourism, Parks and Recreation, and hosted by the Honourable David Orazietti, Ontario's Minister of Natural Resources.
Media are invited to participate in a news conference following the ministers' meeting. Ministers Aglukkaq, Starke and Orazietti will speak and be available to answer questions. Other provincial and territorial ministers will also be in attendance and available for questions.
There will be a conference telephone line available for those who cannot attend in person. It is recommended to dial-in 15 minutes prior to the determined start time.
